A video circulating widely on social media shows the wife of a deceased suspected b@ndit, identified as Muhammad, making an emotional plea to Nigerian soldiers amid ongoing anti-b@nditry operations.
In the video, she addresses her missing husband, saying, “Oh, my beloved Muhammad, the love of my life. If you are alive, may Allah grant that we meet again. If you are no longer alive, may Allah curse the security operative who k+lled you.”
She urged the military to exercise restraint when dealing with suspected cr+minals, stressing that suspects should be captured alive and face proper legal procedures rather than being k+lled after arrest. “K+lling them after arrest is wrong. Please ensure suspects face proper legal procedures,” she emphasized.
Her appeal comes amid growing public concern over alleged extrajudicial k+llings during anti-b@nditry efforts, sparking nationwide discussions about the need for accountability, human rights, and due process in security operations.
