Popular Nigerian content creator Deacon Famous has opened up about an alleged betrayal by his former close friend, actress Ekene Umenwa, claiming her actions caused serious damage to his reputation and almost ruined his wedding.
According to Deacon Famous, he was heavily dragged online due to false impressions and lies he says were spread by someone he trusted deeply. He alleged that Ekene went as far as paying a blogger ₦200,000 to publish damaging stories about him.
He also accused her of speaking negatively about Ada Uli, only to turn around the next day to publicly wish her a happy birthday with kind words—an act he described as deeply hypocritical.
Deacon Famous explained that he initially chose to remain silent when people criticized him for unfollowing his former best friend, noting that he was going through a lot emotionally at the time. Although his wife advised him to ignore the issue, he said he now feels compelled to speak out.
He warned that if those involved deny his claims, he is ready to release more evidence and secrets to back up his statements. Concluding his narration, Deacon Famous advised the public to be cautious, saying people should not automatically trust everyone simply because they appear religious or carry a Bible.
