Media personality Morayo Brown and her husband Femi Afolabi-Brown are getting people talking after sharing brutally honest takes on love, intimacy, and how marriage evolves over time.
Speaking on their podcast, The Brown’s Couch, Morayo pointed out how romance often fades after marriage. She noted that while dating comes with gifts, sweet messages, and effort, things can change once couples tie the knot.
“It’s like they just expect you to lie down and be available,” she said, highlighting a common frustration among married women. Her husband, Femi, didn’t hold back either.
According to him, the intensity and passion seen in the early stages of marriage naturally decline with time. “The way you feel in your first year is different from 10 years, and different again after 20 years,” he explained, urging couples to be realistic instead of chasing unrealistic expectations.
He added that the excitement men show at the beginning, where they would go to extreme lengths to please their partner, doesn’t last forever. “That passion dies gradually,” he said.
“After five years, you relax.” Femi also pointed out that a man’s past experiences can shape how he approaches marriage, noting that someone with multiple partners before marriage may behave differently from someone with little experience.
Driving his point home, he stated bluntly that after many years together, the same level of s+x¥al energy and excitement simply cannot be maintained. “15 to 20 years into marriage, your wife cannot be ‘shaking’ you the same way she used to,” he said.
