In a bizarre online spat that’s got Nigerians buzzing on X (formerly Twitter), an RCCG youth pastor has publicly cursed a woman to die tonight after she repeatedly called him “mr” in lowercase, refusing to acknowledge his self-proclaimed “Dr” title. The drama unfolded earlier today, drawing thousands of views, laughs, and sharp criticisms from netizens who accused the pastor of misusing his “anointing” for personal ego trips.
The feud kicked off when Pastor Bola Abiodun, who goes by @b_abiodun4 on X and describes himself in his bio as a husband, father of four, and a first-class honors graduate from “Lamba University” in Yola, Nigeria, corrected UK-based Tomisin, known on the platform as @tomisin_ms. Tomisin, a health and safety professional and mother living in the UK, had referred to him as “mr” in a reply. Abiodun fired back: “I’m a ‘Dr’, not a ‘Mr’. Don’t refer to me as MR again. I’m not your mate.”
Instead of backing down, Tomisin doubled down with a cheeky troll, replying “mr with the small m.” What followed was a hilarious yet escalating exchange where she spammed “mr” multiple times in successive posts, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth. Abiodun, growing increasingly agitated, warned her about his “anointing,” quoting the Bible: “I’m anointed man of god. I can curse you now and it’ll take effect for the rest of your lives. Bible says touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. Try me and see. I’m a messenger from god.”
