The mother of Nigerian content creator Peller has shared touching and revealing details about his upbringing in a recent interview, recalling what she was told about him at birth and the challenges he faced growing up.
According to her, when she gave birth to Peller, she was advised not to hold a traditional naming ceremony for him. Instead, she was told that anything significant done in his life should always be announced in a big way, as he was destined for greatness.
She described him as a hard child while growing up, recalling moments that tested her patience. She revealed that his father once had him arrested after he collected money meant for work but failed to show up. Despite this, Peller learned carpentry and fashion design, picking up multiple skills along the way.
Sharing a lighter memory, she recounted how he would sometimes refuse to fetch water, joking that he couldn’t carry it on his head. Even then, she said, he often spoke boldly about his future.
“He used to jokingly tell me, ‘Mummy, you don’t know you have a glorious child. I will still buy you houses and cars,’” she recalled.
Her story has sparked reactions online, with many seeing it as a powerful reminder that difficult beginnings do not cancel a glorious future.
