The State Commissioner of Police said on January 14, the police received a distress call after the deceased was found in a pool of blood at her residence.
Investigation revealed that Yusuf attacked his aunt while she was bathing using household items, including kitchen knives.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Kola, described the deceased as a woman known for her kindness and humility.
According to him, Yusuf had lost his biological mother when he was 4. Aishat took him into her home, loved and cared for him like her own child.
Kola further disclosed that Yusuf confessed that he had been secretly adding Sniper, a poisonous substance, to Madam Aishat’s food for some time.
