Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have arrested two suspects alleged to be logistics and drug suppliers to Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.
Sources said that the arrests were made during a series of stop-and-search and counter-terrorism operations conducted along the Gamboru–Wulgo road under Operation Desert Sanity IV.
The source said that on Oct. 2, troops of 24 Task Force Brigade in conjunction with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, apprehended one Abba Wakil, aged 18, with two jerricans of condemned engine oil and 100 pieces of quick patch.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, an indigene of Wulgo Village in Ngala LGA, was attempting to deliver the items to terrorists in the area,” the source said.
The troops also arrested another suspect, identified as Bunu Ali, aged 18, who was caught with 110 quantities of Cannabis Sativa while attempting to supply the illicit substances to terrorists.
The source added that both suspects are currently in military custody for further investigation.
