A Nigerian doctor, Oyinkansola Alabi, has revealed why she left the country two years ago.
The netizen and middle-aged doctor revealed that she left Nigeria for a place where she can enjoy stable electricity in her “old age”.
“When people ask me why I relocated from Nigeria to Dallas, Texas 2 years ago. I simply say, “I am an elderly person, I can’t be praying for light at age 38”, Oyinkansola wrote on Thursday.
Nigerians flooded her timeline, to narrate their experiences and thoughts about her tweet.
A user said, “They shouldn’t even ask you that nonsense question because that they are still here is that they’ve not gotten an opportunity”.
Lack of electricity has been a dire situation in Nigeria, and promises to fix it have become an anthem for every presidential candidate, except for this year- because the electorate raised their standards and expectations with the emergence of Peter Obi.
