A medical doctor, Ere Ogbachi, has died from complications after delivering triplets in Bayelsa State.
Dr Ogbachi successfully gave birth to her babies at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital in Okolobiri, Yenagoa Local Government Area, before complications set in.
“She successfully gave birth to triplets at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital in Okolobiri before complications arose that eventually forced us to rush her to the Intensive Care Unit in FMC Yenagoa,” he said.
He added that despite efforts by medical personnel and the family, her condition worsened rapidly.
