A young girl from Ebonyi State has reportedly sustained multiple inj¥ries after her aunt’s boyfriend allegedly a§§aulted her with a bread toaster over her inability to learn basic numbers in Asaba, Delta State.
The incident reportedly occurred at Ikpoto, near Power Line Market, where the girl had been staying with her aunt.
According to a concerned resident who intervened, the girl said the man att@cked her with the toaster while attempting to teach her how to count from one to five. He reportedly became angry because she was struggling to learn the numbers and was not performing well academically.
The girl explained that she had only recently arrived from her village and was experiencing life outside her community for the first time.
In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, the visibly inju¥ed child narrated the incident, explaining that her aunt was not at home when the alleged a§§ault happened.
