A rescued prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member has recounted the harrowing ordeal she and other victims endured after being abd¥cted by g¥nmen in Imo State while travelling to their orientation camps.

Speaking during an interview with the BBC, the survivor revealed that they had to survive on dry garri and extremely dirty, muddy water while being held captive in a forest.

“What we are eating there is just garri, dry garri with mud water. Very dirty water. I can’t even give my enemy that water. We don’t have a choice; we have to take it for survival,” she said.
