A precision air strikes by the military under Operation HADIN KAI has destroyed a structure believed to be used by terrorists and neutralised about eight suspected fighters following intelligence reports of a possible attack on troops.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 11:38 p.m. on Oct. 10, following intelligence indicating that terrorists were massing for a possible attack on troops of Sector 3 within their area of responsibility.
According to the sources, an aerial surveillance platform, identified several life-support structures and suspected terrorists moving within the targeted area.
The surveillance platform reportedly tracked about five suspected fighters taking cover under a tree, while four others were observed entering a nearby life-support structure.
Further movement was subsequently detected within the camp, prompting the platform to conduct a precision strike on the suspected terrorists’ position.
