Some Christians are driven by S+tanism. They fear S+tan more than God — Speaker Esther Ideh

Speaker Esther Ideh has sparked a conversation among Christians after questioning whether some believers’ faith is driven more by fear of s+tan and the desire to solve personal problems than by genuine love for God.

Speaking on The Shining Light Show, Ideh argued that some Christians may be motivated by s+tan rather than God, particularly in their prayers, fasting and pursuit of God.

“A number of Christians are driven by s+tanism, not God. And I say that because s+tan is the reason people want to pray. s+tan is the reason people want to fast. s+tan is the reason people want to seek the face of God, not because of God,” she said.

She also suggested that fear of s+tan has influenced Christian worship, including the songs believers sing.
“Our songs are even shaped by our fear of s+tan. A number of people fear s+tan more than they fear God,” Ideh said.
