Boy arrested for allegedly beheading his grandmother in Ghana

An 18-year-old boy, identified as Yaw Brakoh, popularly known as “2 Cedi,” has been arrested in connection with the alleged k!lling of his grandmother at Wassa Adansi in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region, Ghana.

The incident, which reportedly occurred on Wednesday morning, May 17, 2026 at the victim’s residence, has left residents in shock and grief.

According to reports, the suspect allegedly attacked and beheaded his grandmother under circumstances that are yet to be established by police.

Community members quickly mobilised and managed to apprehend him before handing him over to the Wassa Akropong Police Patrol Team.
