A 32-year-old man in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi suffered serious injuries after jumping from a nearly 30-foot-high boundary wall at Pahuj Dam while attempting to make an Instagram reel.
The man, identified as Pushpendra Kumar, was filmed climbing the boundary wall of the dam as people watched. He then did a backflip and landed in the water.
The 32-year-old man reportedly expected to land in the water but instead fell on a shallow section, breaking both his legs.
The incident happened on Sunday evening, September 6, when Pushpendra had visited the dam in the Raksa area with a group of friends. His friends were reportedly recording videos when he climbed onto a boundary wall at a viewpoint and jumped into the dam.
His friends positioned themselves to record him as he climbed the boundary wall. He then jumped from a height of around 30 feet without checking the conditions below.
