A 34-year-old Ugandan man is recovering in hospital after his wife allegedly poured hot water on him during a midnight domestic dispute.
The incident happened last Wednesday in Naminyam, in Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District.
The victim, Williams Kato, told local authorities he sustained severe burns on his upper body and legs during the said attack at their home.
Kato said he shouted for help as neighbours slept, but his pleas went unanswered until morning.
Speaking to Daily Monitor from his hospital bed on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, the victim said he’s been through a lot in the hands of his wife, adding that the marriage is over.
“K!lling me at this tender age. Pouring hot water on me. This a m8rder case,” he said.
