According to Sky News, crowds gathered in key urban centres, voicing frustration over what they described as the growing strain on public resources. Protesters accused undocumented migrants of taking jobs, accessing limited healthcare, and placing additional pressure on housing and other essential services.

The demonstrations come against the backdrop of ongoing xenophobic attacks that have periodically flared up in parts of the country.
