Filmmaker Kunle Afolayan open up about the rising cost of diesel and how it is affecting his business operations.

According to him, one of the businesses he runs, KAP Village, spends about ₦11 million on diesel every 4–5 weeks, even though the facility already uses solar power.

He revealed that the diesel is often bought on credit, and payments are made after the business generates income.

Kunle Afolayan also appealed for financial support, saying they need a loan to upgrade their solar power system in order to reduce dependence on diesel.

The filmmaker’s statement has sparked conversations online about the high cost of energy in Nigeria and how it affects businesses.
