Nollywood actress Chita Agwu has announced the end of her 11-year marriage to her husband, Johnson Maduabuchi.
The couple held their traditional wedding on October 25, 2014, followed by their white wedding in June 2015.
In a statement shared online, Chita confirmed that their marriage had been legally dissolved. She said she would not disclose private details about the divorce or engage in public discussions about it, out of respect for everyone involved.
The actress said she is choosing peace over controversy, healing over bitterness, and growth over public explanations as she begins a new chapter as a single woman.
She also appealed to the public to respect her privacy and that of her former husband.
