A supporter of one of the leading political parties in Nigeria, Labour Party, has taken to her Twitter handle to complain about the sorry state of the campaign ground made available to the party in the capital of Delta State, Asaba
This was revealed in a video shot by the supporter.
In the video, the site “Asaba textile mill” was desolate and have dilapidated structures all over.
The poster described the campaign ground as a “scrap yard”.
Labour Party supporters took to the comment section of the post to condemn the current governor of Delta State and running mate of the People’s Democratic Party, Ifeanyi Okowa, for not giving a better location to the Labour Party, in the capital city other than the abandoned textile mill.
Others suggested alternative plans to make the rally a success. One described the Asaba rally ground as an “eyesore”.
“While this venue is an eyesore, a walk-by PO in the streets of Asaba and Warri will pass an unequivocal message to the govt”, a user suggested.
