The presidential candidate of the chief Nigerian opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, said this while speaking to BBC on the new political third force, Labour Party.
“They don’t have any governor, no senator, no local government chairman, no house or reps. No nothing”, Atiku said.
The interviewer went on to add, “But the youths are supporting Labour Party”.
“Let the youth vote for Labour Party”, 76-year-old Atiku said.
Atiku acknowledged the growth of the rising party, but also stressed that you cannot be at the bottom and the top at the same time.
Labour Party has been a huge disturbance to the usual political momentum of the most populous black nation on earth, Nigeria.
The Labour Party presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi, has so far surpassed expectations, and is currently in the conversation to clinch the presidential seat at the polls on Saturday.
In the last general election, Peter Obi was the running mate of Atiku Abubakar under PDP before he left the party in March, due to ‘misalignment of interests’.
