An officer of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) of a ward in Ika northeast local government of Delta State has been prevented from leaving his polling unit after he refused to upload election results from his BVAS machine.
According to a narrator in the video, the INEC staff have been citing different reasons for his inability to upload the results. For each problem he lists, the people proffer a solution. He will reject each time.
Because of his constant refusal to gain the people’s trust to believe that he will upload the real election figures from the polling unit, he was prevented from leaving.
The back and forth with the INEC officer have been going on since around 4 am.
