It was a sad sight when a group of corp members working with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was told harshly on camera to ‘lie down’ by thugs.
The scene got worse when a young man with an INEC apron staggered across the camera with blood stains all over his body, as he fell on a corp member.
The corp members in the video, were just focused on the source of their fear, the voices behind the camera who questioned them on why they were “running”. A question they were replying to in loud voices, hoping to calm the thug down with their responses.
This is the fate of many corp members who participated in the just concluded presidential elections in the country. An election that was said to be peaceful in the North, but marred with intimidation and thuggery in the South.
