At a time when people are turned away from INEC officers, and told that their voters cards are not ready; a hunter, whose name is currently unknown has brought to light a cache of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) which were dumped in a bush.
He stumbled upon them while he was out hunting, and brought them to a radio house, Authority FM.
According to the narrator in the video, all the PVCs that have been checked so far are voters cards for indigenes of Nnewi North local government area of Anambra state.
The narrator went on to urge indigenes of the local government to come to the Authority FM compound and check for their voters’ cards. There is a possibility that they may be among the recovered cache.
Nigerians have been trooping to offices of the Nigerian electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to be issued their PVCs. Sadly, they have been given negative answers in many cases.
The negative answers gotten by those Nigerians whose desires are just to vote in the upcoming elections, made this abandoned PVCs recovery scene a very sad one.
This incident leaves the potential volunteers with little time left to distribute the cards to their owners.
