The police in Kwara state have begun an investigation after an HND 1 student of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, named Toyin Bamidele, was found dead at her residence at Dapson Extension Area, Offa, on November 16.
The 23-year-old student was found lying in a pool of blood at the apartment she rented after being attacked by unknown assailants suspected to be cultists.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya, said on receiving the information, a team of investigators led by the Divisional Police Officer, Offa Division was dispatched to the scene of the incident.
He said that one suspect had been arrested in connection with the incident.
