Two people have been charged after a fatal crash in the city centre.
Nigerian student Chinenye Vera Okonkwo was walking on St Vincent Street when she was critically injured in a two-car crash on February 7.
The 33-year-old, who was a Public Health MSc undergraduate at Glasgow Caledonian University, was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement released via Police Scotland, her family said: “Chinenye was a wonderful, kind, intelligent young woman with a strong faith in God. She had a passion to succeed and whatever obstacles she faced were overcome.
“She was very family-oriented and always had time for everyone. Our lives will never be the same without her.”
Chinenye was described as a “wonderful, kind, intelligent young woman” by those who loved and knew her. Her heartbroken family released a touching tribute to their “passionate” loved one and said their lives will “never be the same” without her.
