Born John Ighodo, on the 5th of July 1990 is a folk and alternative rock singer, songwriter, sound engineer, and record producer who hails from Edo state a South-south province in Nigeria.

Johnny Drille career in music started in the church where he sang in the choir.
In 2013, Johnny Drille contested for season six of Project Fame West Africa, though he did not win it gave him the audience and boldness he needed to pursue a career in music.
His cover of Dija’s Awww put him in the spotlight which gave him massive attention, including the attention of Mavins boss Don Jazzy, a leading record label in Africa.
In 2015 his debut single Wait for Me was released, this song gave him his first nomination which was The Headies Award nomination and Johnny was in the part of stardom. He was signed into Mavins in 217.
His first Album Before We Fall Asleep was released in September 2021, the songs from the album has gained a massive audience and is topping charts all over the continent.
