The phrase “three square meals” refers to having three substantial meals in a day, typically breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Certainly, this is not the reality in our recent economy, as so many eat just once, some twice, and others go without eating on some particular days.
A recent post on Facebook asked, ‘Which food can one eat once and feel satisfied?
This post goes to show that the recent economy is biting on so many, as so many have little to nothing to spare on feeding three times.
However, contradicting the notion that most people have that only the elite and middle class can recently afford a three-square meal and that a three-square meal is a sign of healthy living, we recently have so many health practitioners giving advice on the need to have small bites, kicking against major snacks, and encouraging intermittent fasting.
Making an irony of the phrase and leaving so many wondering which exactly is the best practice.
However,as captured by a Facebook user, ‘it is not all about eating three square meals, but rather eating healthy meals and doing what works for you’
