Following a violent exchange between suspected OPC gun-wielding men and Nigerian police officers, the Lagos Police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has come to announce the restoration of law and order in the affected location, the Ojota area of Lagos State.
SP Hundeyin revealed that a team of police officers, from the Alausa Division and men from the Rapid Response Squad, saved the day as they stopped the situation from deteriorating.
“A team of police officers, comprising Alausa Division and the Raid Respond Squad (RRS) promptly stepped in to disperse the unlawful gathering and prevent a breakdown of law and order. The miscreants attacked the police, shooting, and destroyed two vehicles in the process”, SP Hundeyin said.
“One person has been confirmed dead, while two police officers shot by the miscreants are currently receiving treatment. Four suspects have been arrested and investigations have commenced”, the Lagos PPRO also wrote.
