A suspected ritualist simply identified as Sani has been has been burnt to death by angry mobs in Lapai town, the headquarters of Lapai LGA of Niger State.
A resident, Abdullahi Yahaya told Daily Trust Saturday that the suspect was allegedly caught with two young girls on Friday around 1pm and was immediately burnt to death.
When contacted, the Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident, saying the suspect was accused of stealing a baby around the burial ground area of Lapai.
