Senegal has banned the use of Tik Tok in their digital zone as the app has been singled out as one which is utilized by elements who seek to destabilize the country.
This was contained in a memo from the Senegalese Minister of Communication, Telecommunications, and the Digital Economy, Moussa Bocar.
The minister stated that the TikTok application has been identified as the favourite social network by those with negative intentions to promote divisive and counterproductive messages that pose a threat to the stability of the nation.
To that effect, the social media application has been banned in the Francophone West African country.
