Security operatives have rescued 21 travellers kidnapped by gunmen along the Ajaokuta-Itobe road in Kogi state.
In a statement on Sunday, Onogwu Muhammed, the governor’s media aide, said gunmen abducted the victims on Thursday.
Muhammed said they were rescued by the police in collaboration with civil defence and local vigilantes.
He said the attackers took the victims to a forest in Ajaokuta LGA of the state.
