Arsenal defeated Liverpool to continue their unbeaten run and consolidate their position at the top of the table.
They fought hard to hold the visitors who kept on getting themselves back into the game.
Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring for the day with a close-range finish after a quick buildup which left fingers pointing at Virgil Van Dijk.
The visitors responded with goals from their Uruguayan striker, Nunez Darwin with a close-range tap-in, and also from their Brazilian striker, Roberto Firmino who fired home with a left-footed shot to find the edge of the goal post.
Bukayo Saka took the day after he slid to score Gunner’s second goal for the day and sealed the win from the spot, after a controversial penalty.
The match ended 3:2 and this win gave the North London outfit the maximum points at home, and left Jurgen Klopp’s men sitting at midtable.
