Three traditional rulers, including the king of Igbu Akoh Kingdom, have been remanded in prison custody by Justice Sika Henry Apirioku of the Rivers State High Court.
They are accused of involvement in the killing of former Divisional Police Officer of Ahoada East, SP Bako Angbashim.
The charges include murder, conspiracy to commit murder, cultism, and kidnapping. The accused were denied bail, and the case is adjourned to November 21, 2023, for trial.
The former DPO was killed in September 2023, and the monarchs were arrested for their alleged complicity in the murder.
