Jota has been linked with a shock exit from Al-Ittihad just one month after signing a reported £200,000 per-week contract in Saudi Arabia. The forward could reportedly leave despite becoming the club’s most expensive signing during the summer.
Al-Ittihad paid a club-record £25million to lure the Portuguese star from Celtic in early July. But boss Nuno Espirito Santo has limited the player to two cameo appearances as a substitute.
The reigning Saudi Pro League champions signed a host of high-profile stars in an attempt to reclaim their title. Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Fabinho have all arrived at the Jeddah-based outfit.
But expensive ace Jota’s spell appears set to be short-lived after it was reported that he was already considering ditching his Saudi adventure. The former Celtic man has already been linked with a departure.
