PDP governors demand reversal of Fubara’s suspension, say it’s grievous mistake
Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have asked President Bola Tinubu to reverse the suspension of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
The PDP Governors’ Forum, in a statement issued on Wednesday by its chairman and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, described Fubara’s suspension as a “grievous mistake” and an “atrocious and retrograde decision.”
Tinubu had on Tuesday night declared a state of emergency in Rivers following the protracted political crisis in the state.
The president also suspended Fubara, his deputy and the members of the state assembly.
