A Nigerian poultry farmer, Sanusi Dantata, has taken to his Twitter page to lament about slow sales of his merchandise, eggs, in the wake of the naira note scarcity.
Sanusi showed a picture of numerous crates of eggs and pointed out that in the slow sales setting, the birds must be fed.
“We all are suffering for the sins of a few”, the poultry farmer wrote.
“Thanks to the Naira Redesign Policy, and subsequent downturn in economic activities, see how our eggs dey pile! Our store and floor are full. We must continue to Feed our Birds! Meanwhile, people aren’t buying! God will see us through”, he ended.

Netizens went on to suggest to him to embrace other means to carry out his transactions, to which Sanusi revealed that he has been taking online cash transfers, and even collecting the old note.
He went on to reveal that the major issue is that due to the naira scarcity, people are not even patronizing his eggs anymore.

Other Nigerians also pointed out how their sales have witnessed a dip as well, in the face of the naira note scarcity.
The Nigerian government has tried to create a cushion for the difficulties experienced by Nigerians and ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria to reintroduce the old N200 notes into circulation. However, that move has done little to ease the suffering of Nigerians.
