Seventeen days later, Tasi’u prepared food and laced it with rat poison, killing her husband, his friends, and two wandering beggar boys with whom he shared his meal. They all died within hours of eating the meal.
Shortly after her husband was buried, Tasi’u confessed to poisoning his meal and was put on trial, as an adult, for first-degree murder.
However, in June 2015, a High Court sitting in Gezawa, Kano, discharged and acquitted her of the murder. #HistoryLand
