Following the reports that Tokunbo car sales have dropped by 70%, Nigerians have reportedly started opting for Nigerian used cars, leaving Tokunbo car stands with little patronage.
A foreign used car (Tokunbo) dealer opened up he has cars that have been in the market for two months, but no patronage. A situation that was unheard of in the past.
“Very true. I have two Tokunbo cars ( 2008 Toyota Sienna CE and 2007 Honda Odyssey) that have been in the market for almost 2 months now. It wasn’t like this before”, a car dealer Gilbert said.
