The success of Nigerian musicians, according to Ghanaian dancehall singer Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., known as Shatta Wale, has surpassed that of his countrymen.
He compared the Nigerian music industry, which he called a “Hennessy bottle,” to that of Ghana, which he likened to a “feeding bottle”.
This was said by Shatta Wale in his congratulations to Asake, a young Nigerian musician who recently sold out the 20,000-seat O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.
He wrote on Twitter:
Nigerians [artistes] are making Ghana music look like feeding bottle compared to Hennessy bottle. Congrats to Asake meeenn!!!
