Following the uproar which greeted the news of a minor who was hit by a stray bullet from the barrels of an officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the agency has issued a statement stating that an investigation into the incident has started.
The agency made subtle efforts to narrate a neutral version of the events that happened yesterday at the Okpanam area of Asaba, the capital of Delta state where the anti-drug raid and stray bullet saga happened.
In a statement signed by the NDLEA media director, Femi Babafemi, the agency vows to help the family of the deceased minor as much as they could while they wrap up investigations on the case.
