Wizarab, a well-known Nigerian social media influencer, has taken to his Twitter handle to express his sadness over the fact that his former teacher has not had a pay rise in more than 15 years.
Wizarab provided screenshots to support this claim and bemoaned how saddened he is by the fact that the teacher in question works at a school that is run by a church.
“My classmate from secondary school recently met with one of our teachers and he informed her that the salary has not been improved since then. I left 14 years ago. How did salary stay the same?
“The school is owned by a church? Where is the love of God?
“Those teachers cannot afford that school fees. I know my alma mater. Somebody even told me recently that her sister’s husband that pastors in the same church does not earn up to 50k.
“You’re working for God” has tied many people to bondage. This is wickedness”, Wizarab wrote on Twitter.
