Dotun Popoola, a metal sculptor who uses metal and metal scraps to create masterpieces, is the outstanding personality featured in episode 9 of First Class Material Season 2.
Popoola is a synergetic metal sculptor. He explained that he picks scraps from different scrap yards across the globe and welds them together to form art.
He did a sculpture of Wole Soyinka in 2008, and since then, he said he has created “uncountable” other sculptures.
His works beautify several hotels and prestigious establishments in the world.
Popoola has been given awards in different countries of the world, including in Qatar, US, India, Nigeria etc.
