It was learned that an unidentified person has dived into the ocean off the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.
On the spot witnesses who saw the incident verified it.
The Nation learned that onlookers surrounded the area to determine their options for launching rescue efforts.
The police have sealed off the area even though the official rescue team has been informed.
“Depression is real tbh Someone just jumped into the Ikoyi link bridge water right in front of me, not quite long. Hope he will not be lifeless before the rescue team arrives”, a netizen, Temitope.
Another internet user, Temitola said, “Someone just jumped down from Ikoyi Link Bridge. People are tired fa.”
The Lagos State Police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident.
“Our men are there, controlling the crowd as other rescue teams arrive”, Hundeyin said.
