A 25-year-old man, Godsgift Uweghwerhen, on Wednesday, allegedly flogged his three-year-old daughter to death in Aladja Community, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Uweghwerhen was said to had flogged the baby who was said to have been sick for sometime with a cane and inflicted bodily injuries on her.
Uweghwerhen reportedly fled the scene after noticing that his child was lifeless as a result of the beating she received.
He was apprehended by the vigilante team in Ubogo community, who then handed him over to operatives of the Nigeria Police in Ovwian/Aladja Division.
