Francisco Orduno Mota, 68, of Los Angeles was crushed to death when he became stuck between the doors of a freight elevator in downtown .
Mota was found dead by the second-floor elevator doors at the back of the six-story building just before noon on Wednesday.
It remains unclear exactly when the accident occurred.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said Mota was ‘discovered deceased, trapped,’ and that paramedics were called in to extricate him.
