Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to building a new port in the Badagry axis of the state.
According to him, this is in order to relieve the congestion at Apapa and Tincan Island ports and attract more investors to the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, made this known when the Nigeria Customs Service’s acting comptroller general, Adewale Adeniyi paid him a courtesy visit at the Lagos House, Marina.
Sanwo-Olu mentioned that the state administration has already made contact with a builder for the Badagry Port.
The Lagos governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to making Lagos a commercial destination for as many investors as feasible in order to increase the state’s economic prosperity and indicated his willingness to work with the Nigeria Customs Service to continue ensuring turnaround for the goods and make the state a top destination for west African countries.
