Born Kemi Adetiba on the 8th of January 1980, is a filmmaker, television director and music video director.
Kemi’s works have been featured on Channel O, MTV Base, SoundCity TV, BET and Netflix.
Kemi has a degree in Law from the prestigious University of Lagos.
Kemi Adetiba started her career as a child, she was featured on two commercials for OMO.
Kemi Adetiba is said to be influenced by her parents. Her father Dele Adetiba was into commercials and her mother Mayen Adetiba is an Engineer and an actor.
Kemi came back into her career as An On-Air Personality (OAP) with Rhythm 93.7 FM, where she anchored two programs “Sound Out and Sunday at the Seaside”. Aside from her radio shows Kemi went into music, recording herself remixing songs and sending them on digital stores under the name ” Hule”.
Kemi evolved to Television by producing and presenting shows on Mnet, some of the shows include Studio 53, Temptation Nigeria and many others. Kemi also presented on SoundCity Tv and hosted the talent show “Maltina Dance all” for three seasons.
Kemi enrolled in the New York Film Academy to broaden her knowledge of television and production. In 2009 her work ‘Across a Bloodied Ocean’ was Screened at the Pan African Film Festival and also at the National Black Arts Festival.
Her first film ‘The wedding Party’ was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
In 2017 she anchored a show called King Women where she interview various phenomena women. Some of the women include Chigul, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, TY Bello, Tara Durotoye, her mother Mayen Adetiba and others.
Kemi has won various awards for her works some of them are Sound City TV Music Video Awards for Best Female Video for Omawumi’s Today na, City People Entertainment Award for Best Video Director 2015 and many more.
