The Japanese government has warned the citizens to be on alert, as Pyongyang continues its missile testing without warning.
The Japanese authorities sent off the rare ‘J-alert’ alarms to their citizens through community radio stations and to individual smartphone users.
According to Japanese authorities, the missile flew about 4,600 kilometers (2,858 miles) for 20 minutes at an estimated maximum altitude of 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) before it landed 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) from Japan’s shore.
South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol branded the action a “reckless” provocation, while the American government described it as “a blatant disregard for United Nations Security Council resolutions and international safety norms.”
South Korea has promised that Pyongyang will get a response from South Korea’s military and allies.
