Aisha Yesufu, a well-known activist, has urged the federal government to close down the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB).
This was revealed in a post where she implied that the board has outlived its usefulness and is now merely a means of generating income.
In 2018, when she first began her anti-JAMB campaign, she said that “if JAMB is generating billions, then JAMB is overcharging.”
She restated her 2018 tweet in 2023 and added that the body should be abolished, leaving the institutions free to conduct their entrance exams as they see suitable.
